What We Felt Reading Whispers of You, Through Time

Spread the love

I’ve been sitting with this book for a while now. Not because it was hard to read—it wasn’t. It was easy, actually. Like slipping into a conversation I didn’t know I’d been waiting to have.

When Travis told me he was stepping away to write something personal, I didn’t press. I’ve known him long enough to recognize when something’s working on him from the inside out. But when he came back with Whispers of You, Through Time, I didn’t expect it to move through me the way it did.

It’s not a big book. There’s no “plot twist.” No grand reveal.

But somehow, it still hit all these small, specific places in me I didn’t even realize were holding tension.

So I did what we all do when something lands like that—I sent it to the women I trust with the quiet parts of me.

Here’s what came back:

“It’s like… I felt less alone in my own head. That’s the only way I can explain it. Like someone out there understood the way I think and feel, and didn’t try to fix it.” – Rachel

“I had to stop halfway through and just sit with it. I didn’t want to rush it. Some of the lines felt like they knew me too well—and not in a creepy way, just… like they’d been listening.” – Jess

“He writes like someone who doesn’t need to impress you—he just wants you to feel. And that made me want to feel more.” – Emily

We didn’t gush. We didn’t analyze it. We just kept sending each other lines from the book. Little texts at midnight. A photo of a page next to someone’s coffee. A single sentence with the message: “This. Just… this.”

I think that’s the kind of book this is.

It doesn’t shout. It doesn’t try to be profound.

But somehow, it ends up being exactly what you didn’t know you were missing.

And maybe that’s the most intimate kind of writing there is—the kind that doesn’t try to change you. It just says, “I see you.”

Where This All Leads…

When the book ended, I found myself sitting in the quiet again.

But it wasn’t the same silence from before.
This one felt full. Expectant. Like something was shifting.

And now… he’s back.

Not just with a book—but with presence.
With words that don’t just land—they guide.
With a voice that knows how to pull you closer, slowly…
and let you remember what it feels like to feel like you.

For those of us who’ve been here before, you know what this space is.
Not just a website. Not just a journal.

It’s ours.

A place to land. To open.
To be read in ways the world often forgets how to read us.

And with Travis writing again—whispering again
you’re not alone in that softness anymore.

So if it’s been a while… come back.
If you’re new here… just breathe. You’re in the right place.

Start with this—
A poem written for us. For you.

👉🏽 “Enchanted Whispers, Under Silken Skies”
(Take your time. Let it touch the part of you that still believes in softness.)

We’re here.
He’s here.
And there’s more to come.
